|
|
Hi everybody,
I have a HP Ipaq 4150 and as a result of not using it over the last couple of months the unit has hard reset itself due to the battery discharging. With this in mind I decided to re-install everything from scratch so deleted all maps from SD card, etc, etc.
The first thing I did was set up a partnership on my PC, then installed the TT software with no problems. I then put the TT5 map disc into my CD drive and when I went to run it the following message came up in the pop up box.
TomTom Setup
Not enough free space on temporary folder.
Cannot run set up.
I don't suppose anybody could help with what I should do next? I don't even know where my temporary folder is!!! |

- When starting the install from a CD, or when starting the install from hard disc but with the CD still in the drive, you may get "Cannot create enough temporary space" or something like that. TomTom have posted a workaround for this: If you get this message when you attempt to install TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 Upgrade pack please follow these steps:
1. Remove the CD-rom from your CD-rom drive.
2. Click on Start, select Run and type %temp%, then press OK.
3. Select the file setup.exe and delete this file by tapping delete on your keyboard.
4. If installing from CD insert your NAVIGATOR 5 Upgrade CD-rom into the CD-rom drive.
5. Now you can install your TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 Upgrade. _________________ Lutz

My god Lutz that was a quick reply! You were absolutely spot on too and as I type this the maps are being transferred from my PC onto my SD card :D .
Thanks very much for this. |
