|
|
POI-Warner is now available for the Mio 269 and I guess also the 268.
http://www.navigating.de/MioMap_en/POI/Index.htm
I have not given it a good test yet but it all installed fine and I have managed to get speed cameras working with it. It is all fairly straightforward, cost is about 29 euro. |

It is quite simple, here is what I did.
Downloaded POI-Edit http://www.dnote.nl/pda/poi/PoiEdit/
I set it to auto update the speed camera files (its the .asc files your want) I selected the speed categorised ones, if you enable alerts, POI-Warner will then warn you if you are going too fast when approaching a speed camera.
Place the files into C:\Program Files\navigating GmbH\POI-Warner MIO Map CE Edition\pois\export. You could avoid the POI-Edit route and simple download the zip file and use those files instead.
When you run POI-Warner on your pc, select the button in the bottom left, I forget what it is called, it will copy the speed camera files to your Mio. In POI-Warner on your Mio you will need to select the speed cameras in the in the overlay and acoustic alerts dialogs. You are then ready to go.
I just need to find a replacement wav file for the alerts, the stock voice is a bit irritating.[/i] |

Hi , Can any one confirm the map view for the speed camera's I've seen a few posts that say you can only see the speed camera POI in 2D map view ??
I'm after confirmation that it all so works in 3D map view aswell,
thanks :D |
