Hi ,

I have a 548 running TTnav2 version 2.24 and GPS 2.06

all has been fine but now no signal is being receivered via my Haicom HI-203e. The red LED is on so power ok.

Have constant message saying GPS signal unreliable.

Could this be a problem with 2.24?

Thanks Rich

Go into the GPS Status screen and see if you've got gray vertical bars or red ones. You need red ones for a 3D fix. If you've got gray, then it means it's not getting a complete signal from the satellites, try moving the Pocket PC (going outside of the car for 5 mins) and seeing if you can get a fix there.

Hi Dave,

in the GPS status screen i'm not even getting the moving line that shows that my GPS receiver is talking to my PDA. So the link between GPS & PDA is not happening.

Hmmm, that could be the problem. When you plug the cable in that goes to the accessory socket, does your charge light come on, on the Toshiba ?

Also make sure in the GPS Status Screen you are selecting the Haicom GPS and Serial Cable on COM1. It may be listed as Serial/USB Com 1.

Hello Dave,

yes the charge light on my HP 548 does come on so power is getting to PDA and GPS. When it was working the red LED on the HI-203e would flash to start with before it found a signal, now it is on full time from power up. Like it's not even looking for a signal. I think the fault might be with my hi-203e gps. But not sure how to tell.

Thanks for your help.
