Possible to turn off route direction audio ?

Sorry, another question, but then again you lot are so helpful.

If I have a route set, is it possible to mute the audio directions, but maintain the POI alerts

The only way you can do this is if you do not set a route, as the audible alert will still activate regardless whether you are in the navigation mode or not. Once you select a destination and start the navigation mode, voice prompts will automatically start and if you turned off the sound you would then loose the POI audible alert as well.
