510 - can't access the map CD

I just bought this today and have it up and running okay except fro a strange problem with the maps CD.

I tried to add the European base maps but the drive letter for my DVD-ROM does not appear in the list of drives to browse.

All I have is drives I, J and K which are the letters for the card reader built in to my PC.

This happens in both the SmartST desktop and the Basemap installer.

I called tech support and they suggested the usual nonsense, none of which worked.

I then spoke to 2nd line support who said it was because there wasn't enough space on the SD (he said it required 39Mb) so I deleted some maps and freed up 50Mb and of course this made no difference either.

I have even tried making an ISO file of the map CD and mounting that as a virtual CD-ROM drive but I still only get the I, J and K to select from.

I also updated my SmartST to SP1 - interestingly as part of this it verified that my original SmartST installation disk was in the DVD-ROM drive. This worked fine but still no solution to my problem.

Anyone else seen this or know of a fix?
