Dell Axim x51 & Polstar pgm-111 receiver

Does anyone know what the settings should be for these. It is a wired GPS receiver and Dell Axim X51 with Windows Mobile 5.
I have tom tom 5.10 installed but cannot get it to recognise the receiver. I have downloaded a polstar diagnostic utility that detects the receiver on COM1 and I think it should be set to 4800 baud rate. However there a re settings on Windows Mobile 5.0 in the gps section for hardware port and software port.

I have tried everything (I think). Anyone got any ideas?
