Hi, I am about to return a Garmin i3 with a faulty scroll button but would like to do a master reset first, how do I do that.

Hmmm, to many of these units starting to appear with the faulty scroll buttons for my liking. I suspect that these scroll buttons could be something that lets the i3's down in the future, i have had a few mobile phones in the past that have had similar scroll buttons on them and the scroll buttons have all gone faulty within the first 12 months of use.
I hope i'm proved wrong, but i just have a feeling about this one, time will tell i suppose? _________________ Garmin Streetpilot i3,

Well, I guess if I have to get mine replaced (no problems so far) at least I'll get V8 (or even V9) maps |

Master reset is: with unit turned off, hold down the scroll wheel and back buttons, then (keep holding them in) turn the unit on.
I think... only done it once and that was a few weeks ago! |
