Hi looking for any tips on how to alter a planned journey via a POI.
The scenario I have frequently is running out of petrol on planned journey, when I realize i need to get petrol I want to go to the nearest petrol station but on or nearly on the route I am already doing. I have tried the following:
I have used the find alternative route menu, travel via menu and then POI. So you can select the closest petrol station but you have no idea whether it is on your route or involves doubling back.
The other way I have tried is browsing the map for POI, although this is quite time consuming and not possible to do while driving the car.
Never let the car run too low on petrol.
Any other ideas? There should be a much more elegant solution.
Many thanks. |

In reality that's the best that can be done, just choose navigate via and then choose your petrol station. There is really not much more that can be done |

there should be but there isn't... It's even worse. If you follow an itinerary route and then select the "travel via" option then poof! yor itinerary is gone.
Make sure you always save the itinerary before you start driving so you can restore it if necessary. _________________ Lutz

You're nearly there.
If you use Find Alternative, Travel Via ..., Point of Interest. Choose Petrol as POI. Then at bottom choose Route.
The location that you want will be marked with a straight green arrow (on route), a crooked green arrow (nearly on route), or yellow which is further off the route. Starting with the nearest. Make choice. _________________ Richard
