Well look at the Mio 268/269.
they have released their map update and it's FREE, rather than paying £99 for the update on Navman, and it's not a proper update either.
Needles to say I won't be upgrading. The upgrade is not worth the money, it's actually a third of the cost of the machine.
Me personally I would rather put the money towards a Mio.

According to the info MIO supplied me with, they too use Teleatlas maps, as do Navman, so I doubt they`ll be any different, the Mio dosen`t cover N. Ireland either.

Mio only allow the free update to customers who purchased since July of this year. The preupdate software did not route by the M6 toll, would not accept custom poi's and had a number of other problems. The update is released to fix these problems. We have 20 MIO 268's here for use by our service and sales staff so I am able to do a direct comparison with my ICN520. The preupdate MIO268 loses easilly. I have not yet been able to look at a post update version since nobody here has yet installed it.
