Hi all, get hold of a transflash to sd card adapter, then you can put it in your card reader. You can then delete poi's off of the transflash to your hearts content. Hope this helps. |

i got an identical sandisk transflash card to the one that came with the i3 and an sd card adapter from "My Memory" for £17.99 delivered (3 days). You could use the card to make a backup of your original, just in case, . |

You're right about that, oops. I s'pose i can use the new card to download poi's on to then read from it in to the i3. Sorry for the wrong info all. You can still delete poi's as i said before tho. I got fed up with having more poi's than map, 'bout time Garmin sorted it out so we can turn the little so & so's off. Cheers all! |

I cannot find this question in the threads, but sorry if it's been covered before.
I loaded the cameras a month ago and they work great. But do I have to delete them before I load up-to-date files? Or are they automatically replaced.
I don't want to accidentlly erase something important and neither do I want to waste memory with cameras that have been moved or removed.
Thanks for your help - this site has some remarkably dedicated people writing on it.

As i understand it, new files overwrite the old ones, so you will lose the old ones. No damage to anything else that was built in on purchase. |

Only the custom POIs will be automatically erased when you upload new ones. Therefore all you need to do is to replace the camera ones on your computer directory with the new ones while leaving the rest of your POIs in the same directory (i.e to reinstall them) so the whole thing (old and new) can be uploaded again. Hope this helps |
