Oh my lord how hard is this,

I have everything working apart from the age old quesion of how do I get the add camera onto the front page.

I have downloaded the mnu file, and used every verison people have posted on here and on mytomtom, and I cannot for the life of me get it on page one.

At the moment my tomtom menu appears like this

Page 1 Navigate to
Find alternative
Clear route
enable auto swticher
change prefernces

Page 2 - advanced planning
browse map
view route
mobile phone
itineray planning

page 3 - tomtom weather
downlaod extras
tomtom traffic
guided tour
configure gps

page 4 - add favourite
quick add camera
stop auto switcher
set time zone
what time is it

i have a 256mb memory card and 5.202 plus the updates posted on scardycats site

please help before the tomtom goes out the window,

I have even tried to change my tomtom.mnu file in notepad, by deleting everything in the skdregistry so there is only the quick add camera, so when the command line tells it to look in the skd registry there is only the quick add camera there for it to look for

oh yeah and why is the command line sdk1 not sdkregistry in the .mnu file.

Check that you have Quickam in the Catapps Folder and the Quickam.bmp in the SdkRegistry Folder. Also the My Cameras.ov2 and .bmp files in the Map Folder.

In the tomtom.mnu file, note the MENUITEM text that corresponds to the Task that you want to take off Page 1. They are in the .mnu file in the order that they show on the screen.

Once again make a note of which command on Page 4 is the one for Quickam. In your example it will be the second in the Page 4 of the mnu file.

Just swap the text for those 2 items.

I could say 'it's just the way it works'.Smile

The SdkRegistry is just a holding mechanism that the system knows about. The sdk1 command line is a function to retrieve a particular app from the Folder. I believe the numbering is related to the position in the FAT rather than an alphanumeric order. Must be a Linux thing.
