|
|
Hi
i have downloaded some of the custom poi of this website to see if they would work on cp6 .i decided to try asda, tesco and london underground stations.I cut and pasted these into the save folder on the desktop and they all work fine when using cp6 on the desktop.I then dowloaded them to my pda and when i try to do a route to them the only ones that it can find are the underground. The others ie asda and tesco dont appear, it trys to search for them and the screan appears blank and it says "try expanding the search"
am i doing something stupid here ?

CP6 on the PDA now imports custom POI's using the TomTom OV2 and BMP files. The desktop version won't use these, and you still have to import them using CSV or XLS files. One of the growing number of inconsistencies between the desktop and PDA versions. _________________ Ian

Try dropping the .ov2 and relevant .bmp file into this directory on your PPC.
\Storage Card\copilot\save
You will have to wait a minute or two once you go back into copilot. It takes a while for the new POI to be merged into the program. |

co-pilot knows the files are there because it searches them ,but it cant find anything .it can on the desktop just not on the pda.which sugests to me that the info is getting corrupted somewhere along the line |

Thanks for the ideas guys, have got it sorted at last. Some poi,s i can just drag and drop onto the storage card others i have to transfer using activesync otherwise some kind of file corruption seams to happen to the files.
Once again thanks |
