this seems weird as the unit has been working fine but when you do a dummy route with the demo run it starts fine with voice and little pictures of the next turns etc but say the trip would take 2 hrs - about 10 minutes in it displays a question mark at the top of the screen also the ETA is blank but the route is still highlited and is being followed but with no voice warning/ next turn visual etc

is this supposed to happen with the demo run as i dont want to start a real run if it goes all quiet on me

if i do a demo run of about 5 mins it is fine why with just a long run?

please help

regards

Justin

I believe the '?' means that there is not a sat lock.

Did you start the Demo from your current position, or did you select a start point on the map? See page 23 of manual.

If you used your current position, I suspect that you have lost sat signal. I don't know why it would affect it in Demo Mode though.

It's obviously a true demo - the unit will lose sat-lock at some stage on your journey and it's simply preparing you for it!!

no the demo trip is from having no sat lock to start with - you program your route say london to manchester start it - it then gives you all the info you need inc ETA say 4 hrs to go but if you leave it for about 10-15 mins or so when you look at the unit it is still moving but there is a question mark at the top as though it has lost sat lock (but dont forget your arrow is still moving!!) its weird

please can somebody test this by running a demo route from manchester to london and leave it for a while and come back to it in say 20 mins and see what they get

ive also tried it with my speed camera database deleted

like you say because its a demo it might do that

regards

Jud
