Hi,
So I'm new to this GPS Game,
I've brought a
256mb SD card
TT5 Navigatior Software
Leadtek Wired GPS Rx'er all seperate as this seem a cheaper way than buying an off the shelf set up for 100's of pounds
I can load up the softeare all OK but TT5 just tells me ''No GPS Device"
I have tried waiting for up to 10 minutes for a signal with the car door open and the RX'er on the roof so no problems of windscreen shiled blocking the signal.
Within the TT sofware I have selected 'other Cable NMEA GPS' set the baud rate to 4800 (and 9600), Serial Cable on Com1
but nothing always - "No GPS Device"
I have tried by setting TomTom Cable GPS but still nothing
but nothing always - "No GPS Device"
What can I do? Have I brought a duff RX'er there is no way of telling as its just a black box, no LED's?
I'd be greatfull for any advise, even if its to tell me I'm doing somehting incedable stupid and just need to click here or there!
For thsoe that might want to know the TT copyright screen gives the following..
