I have PPC with Tom Tom Navigator 5 - v5.000 (4890)

The data.chk file is in the Tom Tom directory - off the root.

I've renamed this, downloaded and installed the correct version and renamed to data.chk - the speed zoned datebase is installed. The alert voices remain the same/ are the original. I have also deleted the data.chk file and the alert voices are still there - nothing has changed. Am I doing something wrong?

Try putting data.chk in Program Files/Navigator.

Thanks Richard, it now works fine.

Why I couldn't find this other data.chk was that I was using a card reader.
