plus connection with TTG700 and orange V500

Just bought a TTG700 - delighted. POI's speed cams and spoken warnings fantastic, all working well but I cant connect to Plus traffic. TTG -> Motorola V500 (orange). Cant connect to server. Tried full reset and manual setup - orangeinternet, autoIP(DHCP), defined primary and secondary DNS, login script AT+CGDCONT=1, etc. Can connect to GPRS with phone, but not via TTG. Why? What am I doing wrong?

Your phone is not listed on the TomTom site as having been tested to work with the 700.

Have you been able to pair the phone with the 700?

Have you entered your e-mail address and password on the 700?

Could you list exactly what you have done?

thank you for the reply - there are lots of phones reported on this forum that work despite not being "tested" by TT.
Pairing works well and the phone works normally via BT, although phone book import doesnt, so I had to manually add to the contacts.txt file. I added my email and password plus, and tried auto setup which failed as well as manual set up according to TT instruction page. TT reports that wireless internet is available on the phone, but it doesnt work. I guess that you must be right - I will have to upgrade my mobile.
