Does it still happen when you exit TT5 through the Main Menu 3 of 3 "Exit Application?" Tomtom5 likes to be shut down properly to avoid warning messages on restarts.

Yes, I used to get the same problem losing home and favourites. One way I have solved it is when I know the home and favourites are working, then go to the storage card and save the Great Britain file to my desktop. When I put new favourites in my PPC each time, then I overwrite the file on the desktop of my laptop. If I ever lose Home and Favourites again, then I just overwrite the Great Britain file on the storage card. The offender is the Great Britain file on the storage card which gets corrupted somehow. Other people here have other methods but mine works for me.
