hi all,i would appreciate very much some help.i have d/loaded ttn5 onto my p/pc. all seems ok except at the bottom left it says no gps device.i am not upto date with all this , so can someone please forward detailed instructions as to how i can resolve this. i have a cabled gps receiver.thanks to all in advance |

Once corp mode is entered proceed with a normall TomTom install and registration, a back up is of little use (as depicted in the original link), to disable the IRdA you need to go to settings, conection IRdA and de-select the check box for "recieve all beams" - the key board stuff is only if you have an external keyboard driver programe loaded, if so open it up and select serial/ IRdA instead of Keyboard - read the link its all in there as far as I can remember - mike |

I suspect the problem is probably the IRdA, so follow the above advice, then with the correct settings in TT (other cabled NMEA device, set the Baud speed for your GPS device, then select the port COMM 1) - take the whole lot outside with a decent line of sight to the sky and wait - it could take ten min - check progress in the GPS settings screen in preferances, you should see it lock on to where you are. - Mike |
