HI-305N is a GPS receiver with Compact Flash type1 / mini-1394 interfaces and built-in active antenna for high sensitivity to tracking signal. Based on the numerix Ultra low power consumption chip set

Numerix? Har har. They should maybe correct their site - this is the Nemerix chipset - same as in the BT-77 receiver that's flooding ebay right now.

But the integrated SD slot certainly is a very nice touch, especially for older Pocket PCs that have only a CF slot.

So eventually is it better than SIRF III or what?
I mean having in mind they fixed a lot of bugs in version 3 of the chipset

I just got 305N (waiting for 305III -the SSIII version- in a few days)... nice little thing

by no means sucking chipset (I'd say better than SSII/LP), you see it was the latest firmware (so not the problems of the past) but by no means SSIII

it has UNBELIEVABLE power consumption though... you can practicaly have the thing forever

I readying a review these days (along with bluetooth sleeve), you'll stumble on it somewhere...
