I am trying to get tomtom 5 working on the nokia 6680. The first time i start up it works and i can pair it. If I exit the application and reconnect whlist the GPS unit is still running. The tomtom app says "no gps device".

I am not sure what the problem is. The clip on unit appeas paired on the phone. However even when its working it does not show up under active connections.

One thing I can note is that, even when the app says "no gps device" the bluetooth light on the gps unit is on (well flashing dimly not like when connected to my PDA a solid blue light).

Only when I delete the paing on my phone and switch off the unit for a while and the phone can I get it to work and thats only the first time. (I cant keep doing this everytime I wanna use TOMTOM)?

Has anyone had this problem before? How did you solve it? Please can you help?

I ve tried removing the battery!
I ve tried selecting the Other GPS devices option on TOMTOM and connecting... Sad

hi mate, try reinstalling your ttm5 software on your mem card, just had this with my slim-line after i updated the speed camera maps. i deleted everything in the ttm5 folder (where the maps are kept). if that fails do a full install using the nokia sis file and that will do it for sure.
