TomTom a bit mean about 700 backups

Just got my 700, and so far very please with it, and it appears to do everthing it says on the box.

The one thing I am not to happy with is that after paying £550 for it I find that there is no backup of either the software or the maps supplied. I know I can back everthing up onto my hard drive and then burn to cd, but really, how much more would it have cost TomTom for them to have put everything on a DVD. After all the 700 is their top of the range product!

What do the other makers do?

Perhaps somebody going to Wales could ask TomTom about this.

to back up to my pc then burn to disc, do I just connect the 700 and grab everything listed?

Yes, make sure that you have 'show hidden files and folders' enabled (Tools -> Folder Options, click the view tab)
