Do you have the Navman Sleeve driver installed? If so, good; if not, get it here.

Remove the sleeve, reset the iPAQ and install the driver if required. Refit the sleeve and start TTN5. Tap the screen and select Change preferences, >, > , >, Show GPS status, Configure.

Select Other Cable NMEA GPS, set baud rate to 57600, Done. Select Navman Driver and wait....

You might have to fight with the Bluetooth console; I use the iPAQ Task Manager to shut it down.

Eventually you should get up the GPS Status screen. Make sure the GPS has a good view of the sky and you should be away with the mixer. All I can say is "It works for me". I hope it does for you, too.

Just one other thing, the satellite signal strength and positioning screen doesn't always work properly with the sleeve.

Why use CheckPOInt? TTN5 has its own proximity warner I think, although I've never used it. Ask in the Tomtom section, or in the CheckPOInt forum if you want to continue using it. Apparently, adding new POIs is much better with CheckPOInt.

Afraid CheckPOInt doesn't work on TTN5. New version keenly awaited!

But, yes, you can use the poi warner on TTN5 and it works well. (I do miss the ability in CheckpOInt to instantly add a speedcam though, so roll on new version)
