After my SD card in my GO 300 totally got fried after 2 days of use TomTom are going to send me a new card with V5.20 on it. Is it likely to be a 128MB card and will all my speed camera POI's and the voices that go with them work on V5.20? I am currently running V5.0!

Can I send all my custom ov2 files and bmp's that I have loaded so far be transfered to work on the new V5.20 Card?

Can't see why not. I've just upgraded to 5.2, and everything works.
Although I was running 5.1 with loads of add ons on the 128 card and all worked OK, I now have a 512 card as space was getting a little tight, and I didn't want to corrupt the card as as happened to some. 512 card was up and running before upgrading to 5.2. For £20 odd quid, it's a safer bet.

Thanks Matt
Thought I had read somewhere that the spoken voices for the cameras don't work in V5.1 or V5.2.

I will try my Poi's and spoken alerts when the card comes.
Am gonna use a 256MB card anyway even if the card that arrives is 128MB, it's all a little tight on 128MB and since my first card fried and has never seen the light of day since, then no more risks!!

the voice file you have will not work. However you can stil have voice POI alerts. You will need a new V5.2 file tho.

Is there one available for the cameras in V5.2?
Can you paste a link to it?

Thanks a bundle...

The 5158 voice file seems to work OK with 5.2. Installing 5.2 will write in a new data.chk file. So you will need to copy it back in from a backup/download after installing 5.2.

Hi Jim Bob,

I'm a little confused. What is the difference between the 'voice file', and 'voice POI alerts'?
Are they two completely separate things? I was responding to the 'bing bong, gatso', and 'gatso, 30' which still seem to work after pasting the data chk file from my backup into TTG3 with v5.2.
