|
|
Dear users
I've just bought TT nav 5 for pocket PC. When I was using version 3 I had checpoint installed for speed camera warnings - I've been told that this will not work in TT5?
Does any body know an alternative?
Many thanks

Have a look here..... www.poiedit.com
there are also a lot of posts on here about POIedit... do a search and you should be able to work out how to use it ... i did and it works fime.
One word of caution... if you ask TT5 to display the POIs the map becomes very jerky.... but the POI warning works even if you do not have them displayed |

Hi redjoe100,
to the forum!
TomTom have not yet released an SDK (Software Developers Kit) for Navigator 5. Therefore there is currently no third party written add-ons such as PoiWarner, CheckPOInt, GPSAssist, etc.
The free PocketGPSWorld camera database works well with TomTom Navigator 5, you just need to use the built in POI Proximity Alert feature. Have a look at the guide to installing (camera database) POIs onto a PocketPC running TomTom Navigator 5.
