French Map Just Too Big

I've just upgrade to TTN5 and installed the GB map and postcodes.

I particularily wanted the French map and notice on the install menu that it is 255MB just too big for my 250MB card; unless anyone knows of a trick Otherwise looks as though I will need a new Lexar SD card.

Yes, I was a bit upset (only a bit) to find that the french map was huge. It is a shame that we couldn't just install particular regions or departments.

TT4 had the huge French and German maps but also had handy 80Mb sections you could load - so for 80Mb you could have thehave paris al lthe way to the Belgian Border and Channel - for the same size you could have a fifth of Germany - the huge maps seem a bit silly to me if there are no smaller options.
