Tomtom wont open on Ipaq

I have had tomtom on my Ipaq for the past year working fine with no problems. Last week the tomtom receiver battery died and since then even after charging it up, tomtom will not open again. I select navigator on the Ipaq and it starts working then just closes off and does not open although the GPS opens and works. I have tried re-installing over the top and even deleted all and installed again but it still won't work. Can anyone help please?
