HELP

Hi, Please could someone help me? I bought my dad a Dell Axim 5 with tomtom navigator software (I think version 4.14) for Xmas, however it has taken this long to be sent all the car adaptors etc. I have now tried to download the software and it seems to have gone OK, however the GPS continually reads 'GPS DISABLED' I have tried everything to enable the gps - taking it to other areas high up etc and nothing absolutely nothing works. I cant get any help from shops and the place where i bought it pdamods.com are a total nightmare. Could anyone help or have I bought a total donkey?Z.x

its most likely you have tomtom nav3 as the 4xx was only sold as the hp naviagtion pack its most likely a wired receiver you have thought im only guessing at whaty you have

try this

START >SETTINGS>CONECTIONS>IR and uncheck receive all incoming beams

go to configure the gps and uncheck the blue tick onthe left. in the tope drop down list select tomtom wired gps in the bottom drop down list select com1 the check the blue box to the left again

go back to the main gps page and you should see some dots going across the screen in the left hand corner
