Go 300 and GPRS Traffic

Hi guys, I've just upgraded to the 300 because I wanted to use the traffic functionality of the 300. My phone is a p900 so should be OK there...now heres the question.

The mobile operators use a different number of bundled tarrifs for GPRS. Mine ranges from £2.50 a 1MB chunk to 138MB for £44 a month.

Does anyone have any idea how often it the TomTom Go 300 keeps the GPRS open for and how much data is transfered? Without this information it's difficult to calculate which tarrif to go for and how much the TomTom GO uses?

Anyone got any ideas??

It's about 5k per update. How often you choose to update is up to you.

OK well thats quite low...I guess an update every 15 minutes is about right? What do other people set it to? I presume you can set it Smile

Not got mine to connect to my P900 yet..

I use 15min intervals. You can choose the update frequency or even choose not to update automatically at all in which case you can force a manual update when you choose.

5K is nothing every 15 minutes...happy with that...looking forward to making it work...thanks for the advice.

Any ideas why I can't see my p900 though? :S

Have you set it to 'Discoverable' ?
