Have just got a TTG 300 and was wondering if a spare aerial from my Origin B2 could be used on the TTG?

Is there anything 'special' about external aerials or are they interchangeable?

My TTG works fine on the dashboard, but I'd quite like to be able to reposition it inside the car.

Must say I'm very impressed so far with the TTG - especially so now that I've mastered the Speed Camera add-in.

I believe that the external antenna for the TTG300 (when it's released) will come with another base that connects to the suction cup holder replacing the one that came with the TTG 300. The external antenna is already connected to this new base.

The ones that are available for the classic won't fit the TTG300 as the connections are different.

Most people seem to be waiting for these or opting for the re-radiating antenna.

Hope this helps Laughing

I modified a classic external antenna following the instructions on this previous thread.

And it DOES work perfectly.

Thanks for the replies.

On reflection, I want to be able to remove the mount as well as the Go when I leave the car and having an aerial connected will make this a bit of a chore I suspect.

As I'm getting a good signal I think I'll leave it 'as is' on the dashboard.

Still having fun navigating locally, can't wait for a long journey :-)
