No need to shout.
- Make sure that COM8 is indeed your outgoing serial port (read our Smarties guide - maybe TomTom has usurped the port.)
- make sure your iPAQ has subscribed to the serial port service of the 6030
- use Standard NMEA 38400 instead of "TomTom Wireless GPS"
- use a GPS diagnostics tool to verify that the receiver works (for example Crux_View) _________________ Lutz

Hi,
I have a hx4700 and the Rikaline 6030. I use it with TomTom 3.
The steady blue light on the GPS receiver should be. This means there is communication between your pda and gps receiver.
The green light which will flash indicates that the gps receiver has picked up enough satellites to sned accurate data to your pda.
Sometimes it takes a minute or so before it has locked on to some satellites.
In house it heavenly depends on where you have your gps receiver.
Greetings Danny.... |
