planning euro route in england

hi all, i have the full spanish european maps installed (no uk), i have put in a start and finish point in spain, and asked the navman to calculate the route, the navman goes thru to 100% then says that the start point is not valid? any suggestions please? thanks..............

You have to use.......cross hairs onto your start point>then tap the cross hairs to get the drop down menu>choose "Starting Point">cross hairs onto your destination>tap the cross hairs>choose "Navigate to".
You can't plan and check out a route if the routing software can't drive to your start point and destination. I've planned my route in Spain and France for my forth coming trip this weekend by using the above method for the various stages because the unit can't drive from here to Santander where I begin my holiday. It's a right pain in the arse. I use Auto Route 2004 to plan the routes along with maps and then save the various stages using "Trip Planner" on the 510 and then save them. I wont actually know if the routes are going to work using the "Take me to" method until I get to Santander and get a GPS signal. Very worrying.
I'll be taking a map with me!!!
