I have just hold of a Fortuna Bluetooth clip-on GPS unit, but am having problems getting it to 'talk' to my iPAQ 4150.
I can pair the 2 devices OK. The unit says that it has satellite signal, but when I try connecting TomTOM GPS or WiFiFoFum I'm not receiving any data. I did manage to get WiFiFoFum working for a couple of mins, but i'm sure that was because the Baud was set at 57600? even tho everywhere says it should be 37000....
Now nothing works, I'm beginning to wonder of the unit is faulty...
I have tried Crux_view as mentioned in another post, but that doesnt seem to work it says cant open port, even tho BT is set to 6, and thats what I set CRUX to... |

It seems to me fortuna is not at teh default settings...Disconnect the battery for 5 min and then you should be fine. |

Excellent - that did the trick! I had removed the battery in a hope that it might reset the device, but this was for no longer than 1 minute.
Thanks for your help! |

Sliding the mode switch on a Clip On to the 'other' mode and back to the mode you're in usually is enough to reset things to factory defaults - though you may have to spend a few minutes in the 'other' mode first.

Hi Dave,
I have the same set up as you, a Fortuna Clip-on and TT Nav 3.07 for my HP 4700 but I am having trouble getting any data from the GPS to the TomTom GPS receiver screen..
1. During the TomTom set up on the PDA, the Fortuna GPS is not listed on the list of hardware to connect to.
I tried setting it up as SiRF Bluetooth (and several others), but never get a GPS reading.
2. My PDA gets a signal from the Fortuna GPS no problem, set up as Clip-on BTGPS: SPP slave.
I am pretty new to all this so it is probably something very simple, but I just can't get it to work, any ideas??
Thanks
