|
|
I have just bought a bluetooth GPS receiver and, at the moment, I can't get Tomtom navigator to recognised it. I have paired the two devices in the bluetooth menu and they are "talking to each other" but when i open GPS on the PDA, the receiver is not detected. I have an Ipaq 5450 and the GPS receiver is a BT-77.
Any help on how to get this working would be greatly appreciated.
I am new to the GPS world, so an expanation in works of one syllable would be helpfull.
Thanks in advance. |

Pairing is not required. What you REALLY need is to subscribe to the serial port service of the BT receiver. you can do that in the Bluetooth Manager. Once done you can then set TomTom GPS to use the "outgoing port" at NMEA 38400. You find the port number in the Pocket PC's bluetooth settings screen. _________________ Lutz

I have managed to resolve the problem, just reinstalled the TomTom software and Hey Presto, IT WORKS. |
