Using the 'GPS Position' menu option in TT 4.43

I have finally got TT Mobile 4.43 working on my Orange SPV-200E phone together with a BT-77 GPS receiver. This was achieved, after much head banging, by first installing a series of patch files from the GPS Receiver seller and installing the TT Traffic Plug-in (via 'ActiveSync')

Everything seems to check out ok except for one option:

Trying to set a favourite using the 'GPS Position' does not seem to work. A message is displayed stating "No usable locations near GPS position".

1. As anybody else come across this problem?
2. Is this problem caused by the fact I am using a third party TT GPS Receiver (not the one supplied by TT?
3. Is there something I am not doing correctly?

Any comments would be appreciated.......

You have to be on a street to be able to use that function.

Lutze, thanks for the reply.

I have tried using the option in various locations but with the same result - "No usable locations near GPS position".

Wherever one happens to be, it is possible to generate a new route using 'Navigate to....' because the sytem knows the GPS postion at that time. Therefore, I would have thought it reasonable to be able to use that same GPS position to create a favourite or POI, hence the advantage of having the 'GPS Position' option on the menu (this saves time and frustration setting up favourites and Poi's using the map and cursor on a small screen.

I would be interested to know if anybody else can use this option ok and only get the error message when not positioned on a mapped street or road etc.
