We have the TomTom SDK 3.0 working on Embedded VB 3.0 connected to an HP iPAQ PocketPC h1940.
If I use the Ocx-file as the sdk manual says I always get the following error: "Application Error - An error was encountered while running this program"
I have no idea where the problem is.
My code for testing the Ocx in a button:
Dim sdkVersion As String
sdkVersion = TTNav.GetSdkVersionInfo
MsgBox "Version: " & sdkVersion
Any suggestions are very appreciated.
Thx. |

Do you get the error on the pocket pc or on your desktop pc?
Make sure the OCX is registered properly on the desktop, add it to your project and drop an instance of it on the form.
Then make sure it is installed correctly on the PPC. |

I get the error on the PPC.
The OCX ist registered on the desktop.
I use the installation routine to install the sdk on the ppc.
It would help if I unterstand the error message. No idea if some registry entries are missing or any other problem exists. If I open a form on the PPC with an instance of the OCX on it the form opens without error. As soon as I push a button using this instance the error occurs. |

My guess is it isn't installed properly on the PPC - the code looks OK.
PM me your email address and I'll email you a CAB file that I use to install the SDK- might be worth a go.
Failing that, mail me your code and I'll have a look at it. |
