I have an IPAQ 4150 running my tom tom navigator 3 wired gps system. I have updated to the 3.07 software. Everything has been great and working well until tonight. Arrived in station car park after 3 hours on train to do a 75 minute journey so not in best frame of mind, turned Tom Tom on and no satellite reception. The receiver ususlly flashes green, but it was just a constant green.
My road pilot gps which sits beside the TT receiver took a bit longer than usual but after about 4 minutes got a signal but still no Tom Tom signal. Stayed like that for 40 minute drive home. Went out later and after another 20 mins or so it started flashing green, but the display was all over the place, going sideways along roads and just highly eratic.
Any ideas what is wrong with it, is it a blip, the unit is less than 2 months old, any ideas would be appreciated, even after 2 months I have come to really depend on this piece of kit.
Jon, lost somewhere in the Midlands |

constant green is not a good sign. Let the receiver sit for a while without power, and then try again - or try a factory reset. If that doesn't help, send it in to TomTom for a replacement _________________ Lutz

Thanks Lutz, appreciate your help. Left it overnight and today it worked fine, but it dents the confidence that it will always work.
What is a factory reset? I can't find any reference to that in any of the info I've got? The GPS receiver plugs into the side of the cradle, and the cradle has a seperate second connection to the power supply. The IPAQ just slides in, is it possible to carry out a factory reset on this installation? and if yes, then how?????

You do this via the software that came with the receiver. You can also use tools like Crux_view or WinFast for that. _________________ Lutz
