I'm using TomTom 2.24 on my 3835 iPaq, and when I navigate by address it always throws me off about 100 yards, so I end up passing the place and having to turn around. I am usually able to lock 6-8 satelites.

I live in the US, and is there any way to upgrade to version 3.07 ? From what I read, its not possible to load US Maps into it.

Another issue is that some of the streets in my area have been renamed, for example I was looking to get to Garden Dr. in East Providence, RI, and it has it listed as Resvoir Ave.

And last question, are their POI updates for 2.24 for the US?

thanks,

Dimava

Is your reported location always off by 100 yards, or is it only your destination when you navigate by address? If you’re repeatedly travelling to the same addresses then you can capture the address and save it as a POI. You might also be able to use something like MS AutoRoute or MS MapPoint to determine the longitude and latitude of the address and Oldie’s POIConverter. Thumbs Up

You can upgrade to TomTom Navigator 2004 for $US53 (it’s free if you activated it after 14th August 2004.). The upgrade includes new software and map data. Have a word with TomTom themselves to see if it is possible to use the 2004 maps with TTNav 3.07. Thumbs Up

This may have been fixed in the 2004 maps, however log it with both TomTom and Tele Atlas to be sure. Smile

Whose POIs? Confused The new map data will have updated POIs, but that’s only for that map data. Third party POIs will work with TTNav 1.50+, 2.xx, 3.xx, TomTom Navigator 2004, TomTom Go, TomTom Mobile, etc. Thumbs Up

Regards,
