Please advise what regulator chip used in the Power lead cable for the Compaq iPAQ 36/37 series PDA. I connected the polarity round the round way recently which blew the chip up. I can not see the chip number as the black casing was broken also. The regulator is housed within the power adaptor that plugs into the car cigarette power connector.

Simply use another adapter. They are way too cheap to be repaired.

I do understand that but for the sake of a gegulator chip I could repair if someone could advise. :D
