| Both me and my missus are getting C500s this weekend. I'm planning on buying TomTom mobile and was hoping that I coudl copy the software onto two mini-SD cards. We coudl then share the GPS box dependant on who is travelling. Will this work, as TomTom would only be in use on 1 phone at a time. or does TomToms registration stop this? |

Technically the current version won't stop you from doing this. But it is illegal, and TomTom Mobile 5 again has the device lock in place.

Without saying this for the sake of saying it, but....
Why do TomTom persist with this? It seems to do nothing but cause hassles (and sometimes tears!) for their paid up users yet seems to present no technical problems to those people who don't want to pay for it? |
