New versions of mobile

Am I missing a trick? Most people seem to be running later versions of Mobile than me.....how do I get the latest update? I've registered with TomTom, but the support site shows no updates!

The only way to receive updates is to not only register at TomTom.com but you have to create yourself a GPRS account and trial the GPRS. Once you have that setup on your account you will be able to download updates.

TomTom have made this difficult for Mobile users. It's partly due to there being no copyright (or lack of) protection in TomTom Mobile, and this is one of the ways TomTom can stop the spreading of updates to people who haven't purchased it.

I'm not sure whether you have to keep the GPRS/Traffic account in good faith and pay on a monthly basis, or whether just registering will gain you access.

Maybe someone else who has tried it may be able to tell you.
