Question to Moderators regarding TT

Dear Moderators,

As obtaining concrete replies from TT, is like pulling teeth (when you are lucky!) perhaps you can help - from what I've read, you seem very well informed.

- Do you know what, if anything, TT is doing to fix the bugs in TT5?

- Which bugs are being fixed and which are not?

- If there is in fact work being done on the program, when can TT customers count on patches?

- What are the chances of TT putting out a patch to bring back some of the more usefull functions of TT3? - for exmple: programing speeds for the dif. road types (this function allows you to get more acurate routing as well as a more acurate ETA).

- What are the chances of the map errors being fixed?

- Can Teleatlas be supplying different maps to different GPS software houses? Every time I reported a map error, TT says it's TAs' problem, but I've seen other programs that use TAs' maps that do not have some of the errors.

- When a map error is reported, normally how long does it take for the actual map to be corrected? Does TT actually pass the info to TeleAtlas?

I'm sorry for asking so many questions and for envolving you, but I'm extremely frustrated, not to say fed up with TT - their lack or evasive replies are driving me nuts!

A frustrated TT 5 owner

Question to anyone else seeing this post: There are many unhappy TT 5 owners out there - I think there is no doubt that TT5 is a substandard product and that ver 5 is in no way an upgarde of ver. 3 (it's more of a lateral move - some things are better many are worse) so does anyone know if there is a consumer group that can be envolved to actually press TT to take faster action and correct what need to be corrected?
