Hi I've an iPaq hx 2410 with TTN3 installed, when i installed tomtom, it added a selectable option in the 'Today settings' window, so i can opt to have tomtom there as a quick option without having to go into start -> programmes etc.
This would be fine, but i always start up checkpoi instead of tomtom (which has the option to launch tomtom when checkpoi is first started), consequently i have turned the tomtom option off in the 'Today settings' window, as its just a distraction i dont use on the today screen.
So is there a way to add checkpoi, or any other programme i choose to the 'Today settings' window? _________________ TT 730 |

Even better is to assign a hardware button to CheckPOInt so that, even with the iPaq switch off, Tomtom will start with just a press of a button.
The only thing is that I've set a password so that I have to get past that screen first before Tomtom appears. |

these are all great suggestions, but dont answer my questions, namely on my 2410, if i go into my 'today settings' window i get a list of check boxes that allows me to show things on my today screen, such as the today panel, the owner info, messages, calendar etc.
After I installed tomtom, it added its own check box to the today settings window that was selectable. I dont want to add more software to do a task thats already done my windows mobile, and i dont want to assign buttons that will turn my ipaq on when i've turned it off.
I'm not afraid to hack the registry, i just need pointers from someone who knows windows mobile, to help me. _________________ TT 730 |

Unfortunately, you have to add software to do what you want. If you have a look in \Windows\AppMgr you will find the TomTom.DLL which makes its shortcut appear on your Today screen. _________________ Kam |
