Tom Tom 3 not running

Can anyone help?
I'm running Tom Tom 3 complete with updates on an IPAQ 1940 with 256mb storage card, its been running fine till now. For some reason (unknown to me) it won't startup.
I've reinstalled the software and maps but it still won't run, the GPS runs but Tom Tom seems to start then exits.
Any suggestions as to what I should look at

if you can remove the memory card and place a small map onto the PDA memory if the TomTom runs then there could be a problem with the memory card. If this is the case i would advise that you format the memory card either via memory card reader or download:
