I have TTN3 and CF5 on my iPAQ2210, and don't want to install any more applications.
I have an old version of TTN2 which I am tempted to trade in for a cross-application upgrade - 99 euros for up to date maps of all European countries seems to be a bargain!
My question is whether I could install the maps I want plus the application on a CF card, without using the PDA memory. Has anyone tried this? Does it slow things down too much for it to be useful as a navigation tool? (Sometimes CP5 gives instructions too late in a dense urban area, so I don't want to proceed if I would have the same problem with Navigon used in this way)

I have done an article on how to move TomTom completely onto storage card. (There is one file - the gps engine - that cannot really be moved over since it registers in the events database. Long story)

CoPilot can run fine from the storage card, but they still haven't fixed the installation bug with the WAV voice files - those get copied into the \Windows folder (!! Twisted Evil Angry Burn In Hell !!). If you use TTS voices then it can completely run off CF card.

Performance is about the same - startup may be a tad slower, but that's hardly noticeable.
