HELP! TomTom Dell X5 Cradle (Not Charging Why?)

I have been looking on the forum a couple of time for insperation to resolve my problem and now need to write to ask for HELP.

I Purchased a TomTom3 wired kit with cradle from Dell for my X5. All looked to be working fine when installed in my car BUT found the PDA was not being charged. I have since contacted TomTom and have had the cradle replaced NOT ONE, but TWO times Last replacement took 2 weeks to arrive after chasing several times to TOMTOM.
After all that hassle both do not charge the X5. When on the X5 is placed on the Dell Desktop charge this works OK and charges.

Has anyone had the same issues - My X5 is on Windows 2002 (could this be a problem.)

I travel for long periods in the car and when at my destination the X5 is about to DIE..........

There's the possibility that the connector in the base of your Pocket PC is worn such that none of the TomTom cradles will make contact.

There have been one or two people with this kind of issue - but it's rare.
