Hi Biker1,
What sort of POI do you wish to add to TTNav3? Is it one that somebody else has already created or one that you wish to create?
A POI is basically two files:
.OV2 that contains the position and description
.BMP that is the 22x22 pixel icon for the screen
Both the .OV2 and the .BMP files must have an identical name and be in the same map folder of the map that you’re using in TTNav3.
When you install a new POI you must fully shutdown and restart TTNav3 before you can use the POI. If that doesn’t work then a soft reset may be needed.

Thanks Privateer...will that work with supermarkets etc. When I press the record button the only thing it shows is speed cameras. How do I configure to record supermarkets etc? _________________ What car in front???

Hi,
It depends on your end goal.
Do you wish to use the POIs for your own use or to submit them individually to a website (e.g. POIplace). POIplace tends to use CheckPOInt 3+ because of the categories are set-up. You’ll have to excuse me, as I don’t use POIplace.
If you use CheckPOInt 2.0.2 then you can capture the POI, which is saved to an .OV2 file called checkpoint in your map folder. You can use Richard’s POIConvertor to obtain an .ASC version, which you can edit in MS notepad.
Alternatively, you could buy GPSAssist, which allows you to record to any predetermined POI file.
