i recently installed copilot 5 live on my ipaq 4150, with a rikaline bluetooth gps receiver(6030).
it worked fine, then about 24hrs later, one nearly dead ipaq. it now requires a full hard reset to turn it on every time.
contacted Hp, installed latest bios, but still the same problem. Its going back to hp for a rebuild. Anyone else had this problem? is it related to copilot? i know earlier bios on 2210 required updating for copilot but they still worked!

any comments much appreciated

- an application can prevent the Pocket PC from switching off while the program is running.
- if the Pocket PC is switched off manually while such an application is running this can lead to the same effect due to the "midnight awakening" of all Pocket PCs (to update the Today screen)

This can lead to a battery drain, and can make you think the iPAQ is dead. But with the appropriate precaution (using a task manager to close programs) this can be avoided.

CoPilot itself cannot kill the iPAQ or any other Pocket PC for that matter.

even with all tasks, applications closed/uninstalled etc, the ipaq still doesnt start after shutting down. (even after hard reset) if its not todo with copilot it must be a faulty ipaq.
what about the bluetooth connection with the rikaline gps, could this have damaged anything? not that ive had any problems with it.

thks

Sounds like a broken iPAQ - or maybe just a dead battery?
