It appears that TT may have changed the file format of the two configuration files that are stored in the \My Documents\TomTom Navigator Settings, these store all your settings and favourites.
I normally install TT and the replace these files with ones I've backed up from a previous setup. No matter what I did with my XDA II TT V3.07 kept ignoring these files and forced me to reconfigure my settings.
I also experience problems with an iPaq 3850 everytime I applied the update TT would crash with an exception error. After an hour of messing around I deleted these two config files and TT worked perfectly.
This problem could be caused by a change to the configuration files, it could also be caused by the fact that I'm also using the TT GO map files. Whatever the cause deleting and recreating these files resolves the problem and now TT v3.07 with GO map data works perfectly again. |

To do it legally, you need to own both GO and TTN3.
3.07 works fine with my Go maps + 2210 too.
When I do a fresh install, I dont bother with installing 3.00 from the CD, I just download the latest update, like 3.07, install that to the SD, install the GPS driver and install the Voice files, enter my product code/activation code etc and it works perfectly. |
