Hi all
We have just bought TomTom Navigator 3 with the wireless Bluetooth GPS receiver, and loaded it onto a QTek 2020 PDA, running version 4.20.0 (build 14053)of MS Pocket PC. Basically, on the first install, something went wrong halfway through, but on the second go, it installed fine. After install, there were no effects to the PDA, it worked fine using other programmes for the rest of the day. When it came to using TomTom on the way home that evening, for the first 30 odd miles, it was fine, then it crashed.
That evening, we went out for a drive in the local area, and it crashed a further 4 times during about 30 minutes. The symptons were that the map screen would stop updating, and it would be completely unresponsive. If you waited a couple of minutes, then did a soft reboot, it would work fine again for a little while, before crashing again...
Following day, a hard reboot, completely clearing the PDA, followed by a fresh (perfect) install of TomTom we thought would solve it. Again, for the whole day, using the PDA as normal, it was fine, and again for the first 30 odd miles it was fine, but it crashed again, at the same point on the journey home from work.
It seems that there is some sort of software conflict or other causing these problems, does anyone know of any firmware/software downloads that might solve this problem??

Since you are already in the hard reset business, do another one, and load TomTom Navigator 3.07 from the TomTom support site and TomTom GPS 2.07 from our downloads site.
Be sure to manually specify the GPS connection. COM8 (or whatever your outgoing port is) at 38400.
See if the problems persists. _________________ Lutz
About the software upgrades, i have just checked what versions we have, and TomTom Navigator is version 3.03 (427), so i guess 3.07 is a newer build (which is odd seeing as we only bought it 2 days ago, i would have thought we would have the newest version...)
But for the GPS, as far as i can tell, it is V3.03 408/415 (from the bottom right corner of the screen in the 'GPS' tab in the TomTom Gps programme) so does that mean that 2.07 is a more stable older version?

That's right, as of 2.08 TomTom have really screwed up with the GPS driver, and many users have reported that their problems went away as soon as they downgraded to sub-2.08 _________________ Lutz
