Newbie needing advice

Hi there

I have a Palm M515 and have been given a Navman GPS500 - I was just wondering if anyone could recommend what software package would be the best to use - I like what I've read about TomTom software - am I right in thinking my little antiquated system will not support any TomTom applications?

Any suggestions for getting the best possible result from my freebie satav system would be mucho appreciated
